Block8 was founded in 2016 and since then we have built an incredible team across Australia and India. Our mission is to empower the world's brightest minds to innovate and build disruptive blockchain businesses.

Our common purpose and values have fostered an amazing culture where we are “solid together” no matter what. We love the journey of taking ideas from Zero to One. At Block8 we love the excitement of designing and building world-class products that stand the test of time. Our venture studio provides advisory services and invests in early-stage blockchain startups.

Leighlah Ashmore

After joining Block8 in February 2020 I have seen the Block8 team grow from strength to strength with a team of almost 60 across 2 offices. Our client portfolio has also increased with many new and exciting projects from different markets and industries.

In February 2020 the Australian Blockchain Roadmap had just been released and Decentralized Finance (DeFI), NFT’s and Metaverse were newcomers to this space and today they are part of my everyday discussions.

Watching these innovative technologies explode in the last 2 years has been incredibly fulfilling and I am excited to have pivoted away from my 25 years experience in traditional IT services to take on this very exciting and challenging role.

At Block8 we work on products which we believe are taking the Blockchain ecosystem forward and enables adoption of Blockchain into the daily life of more and more people. I joined Block8 three years ago, it’s been an incredible journey since then. Over the years Block8 has matured in agile delivery methodology for both start-up and enterprise customers.

I really enjoyed working with the team to formulate the approach that ensures optimization through reusability, focus on quality, and encourages early feedback. As a result, faster turnaround time while providing flexibility is a unique value proposition seen by our clients.

There is so much to learn and grow, the In-house training process is one of the key strengths which builds confidence and emotional intelligence required for successful careers. Overall, I am glad to be part of Block8 which provides the platform to explore, implement and learn by experience.
